Magic Bullet Mini Juicer vs Nutribullet Juicer: My Real Experience Using Both

I’ve used compact blenders and juicers for years, so when I got the chance to test the Magic Bullet Mini Juicer alongside the Nutribullet Juicer, I was curious to see how much difference there really is between these two siblings from the same brand family. They target different types of users, but on the surface both aim to make daily juicing simple and accessible.

After running everything from apples to leafy greens to carrots through both machines, I have a very clear picture of how they differ — and which one fits which lifestyle better.

Here’s my full hands-on comparison.

Design & Build Quality

Magic Bullet Mini Juicer

The first thing that stood out was the size — this thing is genuinely tiny. It fits in one hand and barely takes up any counter space. The silver and black finish gives it a clean look, but this model is clearly built with lightweight plastic materials to stay portable and inexpensive.

The compact build makes it perfect for apartments, dorms, or anyone who hates bulky appliances dominating the counter.

Nutribullet Juicer

When I set up the Nutribullet Juicer next to the Mini, the difference was night and day. The Nutribullet feels sturdier, heavier, and designed for more demanding jobs. The stainless steel accents give it a more premium appearance, and its height allows for a larger pulp basin and bigger chute.

This one feels like a real kitchen appliance — not a compact convenience tool.

Design Verdict:
Mini = minimal, lightweight
Nutribullet = durable, full-sized, more premium

Ease of Use

Magic Bullet Mini

This is one of the simplest juicers I’ve ever used. Plug in, lock the top, drop produce, and juice directly into the 16 oz cup. The silicone spout cap is a clever touch — it stops drips immediately when you pull the cup away.

The only limitation is the smaller chute. A 2″ chute still saves chopping time, but larger apples or carrots need to be cut in half or quarters.

Nutribullet Juicer

The Nutribullet gives you more control. The dual-speed dial lets you adjust juice extraction depending on whether you’re juicing soft fruits or tough veggies like beets or carrots.

The 3-inch chute is a game changer — whole fruits go in without prep. This alone saves me more time than anything else on busy mornings.

The no-drip spout works just as well and prevents sticky messes.

Ease of Use Verdict:
Mini = simplest operation
Nutribullet = fastest prep + more control

Performance & Juicing Results

Magic Bullet Mini

With its 400W motor, I wasn’t expecting industrial power, and that’s exactly what I got — it’s solid for basic use. It handles oranges, cucumbers, pineapples, soft apples, and spinach well.

Where it struggles a bit is dense produce. Carrots and beets take longer, and you need to apply pressure gradually. Juice yield is decent for its size, but definitely lower compared to full-size centrifugal machines.

It’s perfect for one glass of fresh juice, not for juicing a whole bag of produce.

Nutribullet Juicer

The Nutribullet’s 800W motor is significantly stronger. Hard produce flies through the sieve with no slowdown. Dual-speed control actually makes a big difference — low for juicy fruits, high for dense vegetables.

I get noticeably higher yield with this machine, and the pulp comes out drier. Leafy greens still aren’t perfect (centrifugal juicers never are), but it performs better than the Mini.

Plus, the 27 oz sealing pitcher is great for making juice for the next morning.

Performance Verdict:
Mini = best for soft to medium produce
Nutribullet = powerful, high yield, fast performance

Cleaning & Maintenance

Magic Bullet Mini

Because of its small size, cleaning takes maybe a minute. Everything except the base is top-rack dishwasher safe. Even hand-washing is quick — it has fewer parts than a traditional juicer.

The drip-catch spout cap also minimizes counter mess.

Nutribullet Juicer

Surprisingly, even though it’s larger, it’s still easy to clean. The pulp basin lifts out as a single piece, which makes rinsing much easier than models where pulp collects in multiple crevices.

The stainless steel sieve needs brushing, but the included brush works well.

Dishwasher-safe parts help, but the machine is obviously more effort to move around due to its size.

Cleaning Verdict:
Mini = fastest cleanup
Nutribullet = easy for its size, but more components

Portability & Space

Magic Bullet Mini

If you need a juicer that lives in a tiny kitchen or needs to be tucked away often, this is exactly what it was designed for. It’s barely taller than a blender bottle and weighs very little.

Nutribullet Juicer

This one’s meant to stay on the counter. It’s large, taller than average, and takes up decent space. Not portable, but definitely more capable.

Portability Verdict:
Mini wins by a huge margin.
